Q: How does the hourly rate work? When does the time start?

A: At Texas Move-It, we start the clock when our movers starts working for you in your home or apartment.

When the crew arrives, our moving team lead will take a walk through to strategize the best way to transport your household belongings to your next home.

Once this is done, we will go over our contract that authorizes our movers to handle your items and also indicates the rates, start time, and eventually end time.

Q: At the end of the move, how are the hours calculated and how do I pay?

A: The move is finished and the end time is recorded once your moving crew has assembled all of your furniture and have placed your belongings exactly where you want them;

We like to make sure our customers are 100% satisfied before receiving payment!

The hourly rate is prorated and you only pay for exactly the time our movers worked.

This means that if your move takes 3 hours and 40 minutes then it will not be rounded up to 4 hours, rather you will owe us only 40 minutes out of that hour.

You have the option of paying by cash, check, or any major credit/debit card.

Once the total has been calculated, you can give our mover crew lead your preferred method of payment.

Keep in mind that there is a 3.5% processing fee when using credit/debit cards.

You may want to keep your checkbook unpacked in order to avoid this small fee.

Regardless of method of payment, you’ll receive a receipt of our transaction.

Q: What extra/hidden fees do we charge?

A:  At Texas Move-It, we don’t like to spring unexpected fees onto our customers;

We like to be clear about our moving service and charges from the get go so that everyone is on the same page and we can have a stress-free move!

Once you have requested a quote from us, you can rest assured that you will receive exactly what you expect from a full service moving company.

There are a few specialty furniture items with an extra charge that we need to know of ahead of time.

They require particular tools and expertise to move.

This includes but is not limited to pool tables, gun safes, and pianos.

You’ll want to leave these items to our expert movers and not risk possible damage in inexperienced hands;

Let us know well before the move so that we can be prepared on moving day.

Other than these special cases, our moving service includes the wrapping of your furniture and large items with moving pads and shrink wrap;

The crew will also disassemble and reassemble everything that can be and will place your items exactly where you would like;

Our movers take care of disconnecting and reconnecting your appliances as all part of our service.
